Call for abstracts for the 24th lGFP-Conference, March 12th and 13th 2027
Proposals for presentations/posters should be submit-ted in the form of abstracts by 30 September2026. The abstracts must be submitted in the version that will be published in the conference proceedings if the pres-entation/posteris accepted.
All abstracts must be structured as follows:
- Title
- Authors
- Objective/specialist background
- Materials and methode
- Results
- Discussion
- Take-home message
Please also include a CV and a photo (please provide a file that is of sufficient size for printing).
All abstracts submitted will be reviewed by no later than 15 October 2026, and the Board will decide in each case whether or not to accept the submission for the conference (as a presentation or poster). If more submissions of presentations are received than are needed, authors may be asked to prepare their topic as a poster instead. Abstracts that are accepted will be translated into English and published in two languag-es in the conference proceedings (with an ISBN num-ber). Contributions “from practice” and “for practice” are particularly requested.

Presentations
Overview presentations (30 minutes) generally take place at the start of a block of presentations and introduce the key theme.
Specialist presentations (CO minuten)

Posters
A poster may also be submitted instead of a pres-entation. Posters flat are accepted will be displayed throughout the conference and published in the con-ference proceedings in both German and English. In case author is willing to surrender the poster to the IGFP, it will also be exhibited at trade fairs where the IGFP has a stand.
Guidelines
An overview presentation is either a state-of-the-art presentation that explains current scientific and tech-nical developments in specific areas or a broad review of a group of topics.
Specialist presentations should describe the results of the author's own case studies.
Case studies document cases from practice. Rarely described disorders, typical complications or unusual phenomena may be described and put forward for dis-cussion.
“How to” presentations explain practical techniques and treatment strategies, with a particular focus on advantages, disadvantages and possible alternatives.
Posters should present topics in a clear, comprehensi-ble way. The contents should be conveyed using clear, concise text and/or visualised With informative illustra-tions (diagrams).
Every poster should contain the following elements:
- Title
- Objective
- Scientific background
- Materials and methode
- Results
- Discussion
- Take-home message
Poster Format: 70x100 cm (width x height)
We request that all authors appropriately acknowledge
the literature they have used. All authors are personally
responsible for heeding and complying with copyright.
Conference languages
German/English. Simultaneous interpretation (Germon into English, English into German) will be provided for all presentations.
Compensation
The fee for the work agreed with the Speaker in relation to a presentation with a maximum duration of 30 min-utes is EUR 200 net. The fee for taking part in a panel
discussion is EUR 150 net.
The Speaker shall receive reimbursement of their trav-el expenses as set out in the Travel Policy for speakers (“Travel policy for speakers”) applicable at the time the Agreement is signed. This policy can be viewed and downloaded at www.igfp-ev.de/en/the-igfp/statutes-and-regulations
Lead authors of posters will receive free admission to the conference. Their travel expenses and overnights stays will not be covered by the IGFP.
